今年是美国空军正式成立63周年。如果从其建立之初的1947年再向更深远的历史追溯31年,即1916年,美国空中力量才刚刚以陆军航空队的名义成为独立建制。如果说1916年的美国陆军航空队与当时欧洲强国的空中力量相比,只是不起眼的丑小鸭的话,经过短短30多年的发展,其就已成为傲视世界的强者。战后,各种先进科技的迅速发展以及数次局部战争的锤炼,更使得美国空军从二战中的群雄并立一跃达到各国难以望其项背的巅峰。期间,美国空军由弱至强再到超强的奥秘,一直为各国空军所苦苦追寻和思索。
This year marks the 63rd anniversary of the formal establishment of the U.S. Air Force.
