Speaking more than 50 years ago, the Japanese invaders’ iron hooves stepped into the northeast of our country and thus endanger North China. At that time, people still remembered the history of the G-8’s looting of Beijing in 1900 and could no longer let the handed down treasures of the Peking Palace’s Palace Museum fall into the hands of robbers. Thus in 1933 a large number of paintings and calligraphies originally collected in Qing Palace were shipped out of Peking. During the War of Resistance Against Japan, they were finally removed from Taiwan and are now collected in the National Palace Museum in Taipei. For Beijing’s heritage museum community, the art world and the academia, it does not have a chance to see the elegance of these treasures screened out by the royal family. Therefore, the collection of calligraphies and paintings of the Taipei National Palace Museum, which was exhibited in the National Palace Museum in Beijing in July, is even more attractive to people.
