  Tomorrow you may get a working woman[职业女性], but you should marry her with these facts as well.
  Here is a girl, who is as much educated as you are; who is earning almost as much as you do;
  One, who has dreams and aspirations[抱负] just as you have because she is as human as you are;
  One, who has never entered the kitchen in her life just like you or your sister haven’t, as she was busy in studies and competing in a system that gives no special concession[让步] to girls for their culinary[烹饪的] achievements;
  One, who has lived and loved her parents & brothers & sisters, almost as much as you do for 20 to 25 years of her life;
  One, who has bravely agreed to leave behind[丢下] all that, her home, people who love her, to adopt[接受] your home, your family, your ways and even your family name;
  One, who is somehow expected to be a master-chef from Day One, while you sleep oblivious[遗忘的] to her predicament[窘况] in her new circumstances, environment and that kitchen;
  One, who is expected to make the tea, first thing in the morning, and cook food at the end of the day, even if she is as tired as you are, maybe more, and yet never ever expected to complain; to be a servant, a cook, a mother, a wife, even if she doesn’t want to; and is learning just like you are as to what you want from her; and is clumsy[笨拙的] and sloppy[粗心的] at times and knows that you won’t like it if she is too demanding[苛求的], or if she learns faster than you;
  One, who has her own set of friends, and that includes boys and even men at her workplace too, those, who she knows from school days and yet is willing to put all that on the back-burners[将……搁置一边] to avoid your irrational[不合理的] jealousy, unnecessary competition and your inherent[内在的] insecurities;
  Yes, she can drink and dance just as well as you can, but won’t, simply because you won’t like it, even though you say otherwise;
  One, who can be late from work once in a while when deadlines[截止期限], just like yours, are to be met;
  One, who is doing her level best and wants to make this most important relationship in her entire life a grand success, if you just help her some and trust her;
  One, who just wants one thing from you, as you are the only one she knows in your entire house—your unstinted[不吝啬的] support, your sensitivities[敏感性] and most importantly—your understanding, or love, as you may call it.
  But not many guys understand this,
  Please appreciate[领会] HER.
  明天你也许会迎娶一位职业女性,但你也应该迎娶随她而来的这些事实:
  有个女孩,接受过和你一样高的教育,挣几乎和你一样多的钱;
  她,和你一样拥有梦想和抱负,因为她和你一样都是普通人;
  她,和你或你的姐妹一样,从未进过厨房,因为她忙于学习和竞争,厨艺好并不能给她在这个系统带来竞争优势;
  她,和你一样,从出生的20到25年来,与她的父母、兄弟姐妹一起生活,并且深爱着他们;
  她,勇敢地同意抛下一切,离开自己的家,离开深爱她的人,去接受你的家、你的家庭、你的生活方式,甚至是你的姓氏;
  她,从第一天起就不知怎地,成了人人期待的大厨,而你却在睡梦中忽略了她在新的处境、环境和那个厨房的窘境;
  她,早上起床的第一件事就得为你泡茶,一天将尽的时候得为你煮饭,尽管她和你一样疲惫,或许比你更疲惫,却不允许有一丝怨言;她要当仆人、厨师、母亲、妻子,即使她并不想当;还要学着成为那个你想要她成为的人;有时还要表现得笨手笨脚、粗心大意的,因为她知道你不喜欢她太苛求,或者学得比你还快;
  她,有自己的朋友圈,包括她学生时代就认识的男孩和一些工作场合的男人,她都把他们搁置一边,以免引起你无理的嫉妒、不必要的竞争心理和内心的不安。
  是的,她的酒量和舞技和你一样好,但她不喝酒也不跳舞,仅仅因为你不喜欢,哪怕你不说;她,有时也会因为工作而晚回家,因为她和你一样,需要在截止期之前把工作完成;
  她,正在竭尽全力,让她一生中最重要的这段关系获得巨大的成功,只要你肯帮她,信任她;
  她,只想从你身上得到一样东西,因为你是整个房子里她唯一认识的人——你毫不吝啬的支持,你的在乎,最重要的是——你的理解,或者你也可以称之为爱。但没有多少男人能理解这个道理,请领会“她”。
