The 21st Century Medical Science and Technology Development Strategy Seminar sponsored by the World Health Organization and sponsored by the Chinese Medical Association Information Society was held in Beijing from June 6 to June 8, 1995. All members of the Chinese Medical Association Information Society and a total of 56 leaders and experts from related fields attended the strategic seminar. At the seminar, He Zuma, academician of the Chinese Academy of Science, made a report on “Prospects for Science and Technology in the 21st Century.” In addition, 10 experts made special reports at the conference. Experts at the meeting agreed that the key link in the development of medical science and technology in the 21st century is to make scientific decisions and to make full use of talents, information and technology
