赖际熙(1865-1937年),字焕文,号荔坨,广东增城市(现广州市增城区)增江街光辉村湖塘埔人。传说其祖父道光癸卯年(1853年)葬于广州郊外龙洞一座小山坡时,曾有相士预言60年后此家当出贵人,并刻写入墓碑铭文。此后12年,赖际熙出生,自幼勤奋好学,博览群书,攻读于广东广雅书院。光绪十五年(1889年)中举人,光绪二十九年(1903年)参加中国最后一次科举试考中
Lai Jixi (1865-1937), word Huanwen, No. lituo, Zengcheng City, Guangdong (now Zengcheng District, Guangzhou) Zengjiang Street Brilliant Village Hutang Po people. Legend has it that when his grandfather Daoguanggui (1853) was buried in a small hillside on the outskirts of Canton in Longdong, there was a foregone conclusion that 60 years later this man would be an honored person and be inscribed on a tombstone inscription. After 12 years, Lai was born, childhood studious, read extensive books, studying in Guangdong Guang Ya College. In the fifteen years of Emperor Guangxu (1889), he took part in the final examination of China’s imperial examinations in the twenty-ninth year of Emperor Guangxu (1903)
