Urinary N-acetyl-β-D glucosaminidase (NAG) was monitored dynamically in 30 children treated with Trichoderma. Urinary NAG at 1 week was significantly higher than that of the control group (P <0.01), indicating that minocycline has renal toxicity and should not be administered for more than 1 week. Urinary NAG is an early and sensitive indicator of nephrotoxicity.
