以香港成人教育协会会长、明爱延续及成人教育服务协调总监为团长的香港成人教育访问团,一行三人,于十一月十九日至二十一日访问了我市。在中国成人教育协会的安排下,她们参观了北京市几所职工学校,并同我市成人教育工作者进行了座谈,还给我们介绍了香港成人教育的情况。他们认为我市成人教育有成绩、有经验。经过她们的介绍,使我们了解到一些香港成人教育的发展概况。香港共有人口五百万,其中大、中、小在校学生一百万人,成人教育对象约二百万。七二年统计,十五岁以上没有上过学的人数达六十万,这个数字说明香港成人教育的任务是很重的。香港企业竞争厉害,失业人口多,物价、房价高,人们为了竞争、就业、提高收入等问题,也要求成人教育帮助提高技术水平。香港成人教育协会,成立于一九七五年,是国际成人教育理事会与亚太成人教育协会的
The three-member Hong Kong Adult Education Delegation headed by the Hong Kong Institute of Adult Education, Caritas Continuation and Adult Education Services Coordinator visited our city from November 19 to 21. Under the arrangement of China Association of Adult Education, they visited several staff and workers’ schools in Beijing and held informal discussions with the city’s adult education workers. They also briefed us on the situation of adult education in Hong Kong. They think there are achievements and experience in adult education in our city. After their introduction, we have seen some general developments in adult education in Hong Kong. Hong Kong has a population of five million, of which one million students are major, secondary and senior students and about two million adults are adults. In July or two, the number of people over 15 who have not attended school is 600,000. This figure shows that the task of adult education in Hong Kong is very heavy. Hong Kong’s enterprises are fiercely competitive, with many unemployed people, high prices and high housing prices. People also demand adult education to help them improve their skills for competition, employment and income raising. The Hong Kong Institute of Adult Education, established in 1975, is a joint venture between the International Council for Adult Education and the Asia Pacific Association of Adult Education
