各种新闻工具,特别是党的机关报,如何办出自己的特色,这是新闻改革中亟需解决的一个重要课题。七年前,胡耀邦同志在一次谈话中指出:“现在我们的报刊,一般化的太多了。应该明确地要求我们的报纸、刊物,一定要有自己的特点。千篇一律,千人一面,谁看呢?……一定要使我们的报刊办得丰富多采,各有特色,满足社会上各种人的精神需要。”去年初,他在《关于党的新闻工作》一文中又说,各种新闻工具,“应当各自努力办出自己的特色,各有不同的角度、不同的重点、不同的风格、不同的面貌。”这几年来,我们的各种报纸,在办出特色方面作了很大努力,并取得了一定的成绩。过去那种“千报一面,千篇一律,千人一腔”的状况,有所变化。有些报纸面目差不多,特色不鲜明,雷同化,一般化的现象,依然存在。为此,本刊从这期起开辟《办出自己的特色》的笔谈专栏,期望报界同行交换看法,交流经验,从理论和实践的结合上探讨报纸的特色以及办出特色的规律。这里刊登的大众日报编辑部四位同志的文章,作为这次笔谈的开端。希望大家踊跃来稿,参加笔谈。
