1955年11月27日武汉市科联与中国科学院水生生物研究所、华中农学院、华中农业科学研究所、武汉市中苏友协等单位联合举行了米丘林诞生100周年纪念会。到会出有武汉市生物及农业科学、技术工作者(包括湘、鄂、贛三省出席华中区1956年农业科学研究计划会议的代表)以及华中农学院全体师生,共1,600余人。大会由中共湖北省委农村工作部王反部长、苏联专家谢洛莫娃同志及华中农业科学研究所张子明所长分别作了报告;并宣读了学术论文。下面是张子明同志的报告全文(付印时经本人略加修改)。
On November 27, 1955, Wuhan C & T held a commemorative meeting on the 100th anniversary of the birth of Michurin jointly with the Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Huazhong Agricultural College, Huazhong Agricultural Research Institute, Wuhan Sino-Soviet Friendship Association and other units. There will be a total of more than 1,600 biological and agricultural science and technology workers (including the representatives of Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi provinces attending the 1956 conference on agricultural sciences research in Central China) and all teachers and students of Huazhong Agricultural College. The conference was reported respectively by Wang Wang, minister of the rural work department of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee, comrade Xie Lomo, the Soviet expert, and Zhang Ziming, director of Huazhong Institute of Agricultural Sciences; and read the academic papers.
