党的十四届六中全会,作出了加强社会主义精神文明建设的决议。这个决议由于顺应民心,符合我国现阶段的实情,因此,决议一发,万民欢畅,各地、各级党和政府都迅速采取行动,按照决议的要求,制定和实施在当地加强精神文明建设的具体办法,全国上下出现了空前的令人振奋的新局面和新气象,一手软(精神文明建设)一手硬(物质文明建设)的状况得到了明显改观。这是值得我们特别高兴的。
The 6th Plenary Session of the 14th Central Committee of the Party made a resolution to strengthen the building of a socialist spiritual civilization. Since this resolution is in conformity with the popular will and is in keeping with the facts of the present stage of our country, the resolution is on the first place and the people are joyous. All localities, all levels of the party and government are quick to act and, in accordance with the resolution, formulate and implement concrete measures for strengthening spiritual civilization in the region This has brought about an unprecedented new and exciting new situation all over the country. The status of soft-handed (spiritual civilization construction) hard-won (material civilization construction) has been markedly improved. This deserves our special pleasure.
