Shimizu Tetsuhide, who first conducted a basic verification experiment on the electrical heating effect of pure titanium foil. Tensile test jigs with built-in heating electrodes were developed. Tensile tests were conducted on pure titanium foil with thickness of 50μm in different directions and different temperatures on universal mechanical testing machine.
