2011年12月16日,1000千伏晋东南-南阳-荆门特高压交流试验示范工程扩建工程正式投产。创造了世界电网新高度的特高压交流试验示范工程,最大输电能力从280万千瓦提高至500万千瓦,再次刷新了高压交流输电能力的世界纪录。扩建工程的投产,不仅使正处于迎峰度冬期间的华中电网迎来甘霖,更以其建设运行的实践,进一步验证了特高压大范围优化配置资源的能力。
December 16, 2011, 1000 kV Jin Dongnan - Nanyang - Jingmen UHV AC pilot demonstration project expansion project officially put into operation. The UHV AC pilot demonstration project, which has created a new height in the world power grid, has increased the maximum transmission capacity from 2.8 million kilowatts to 5 million kilowatts and once again set a world record for high-voltage AC transmission capacity.
