Pancreatic endocrine tumors (PET) are a group of pancreatic islet cell-derived diseases that are rare or uncommon clinically. Due to the different types of secreted hormones, PET can lead to different clinical manifestations. At the same time, the study on the mechanism of islet cell proliferation, differentiation and regeneration has certain hint value, so it has been widely concerned by clinicians and basic researchers for a long time. PET marker detection in its diagnosis and prognosis evaluation has a certain clinical significance. This article describes the pathogenesis of PET, pathological classification criteria, detection and application of circulating markers such as an introduction.
