Recently, I read Chen Qi’s article “Responsible for Reflecting the Faith of Teachers According to the Disciplinary Law” (“Secondary History Teaching Reference” (2007, No. 1-2)), and I was touched by Prof. Zhu Hanguo, editor-in-chief of the People’s Edition textbook. Both the People’s Education Agency and Prof. Zhu set out from the reality of middle school history teaching and conducted repeated visits and investigations to the experimental area. Constantly listen to the voices and suggestions of middle school history teachers and history teachers and researchers. Make detailed and scientific revisions to historical textbooks. In the fall of 2007, revised historical textbooks will be used in experimental areas. I think the editorial attitude of seeking truth from facts centered on teachers and students is a concrete embodiment of the “people-oriented” approach advocated by the new curriculum, and it is also a gospel of our historical discipline.
