1982年7月26日原国家标准局发布第一个量和单位系列国家标准GB3100～3102-82。1986年修改了一次,1993年12月27日国家技术监督局批准、发布经过重新修订的量和单位系列国家标准GB3100～3102—93,作为强制性标准,要求自1994年7月1日起实施。1994年11月14日,国家技术监督局、国家教委、广播电影电现部、国家新闻出版署等四单位联合发出通知,“要求所有1995年7月1日以后出版的科技书刊、报纸、新闻稿件、教材、产品铭牌、产品说明书等,在使用量和单位的名称、符号、书写规则时都应符合新标准的规定;所有出版物再版时,都要按新标准规定进行修订。古籍、文学书籍不在此列。”本文着重介绍1993年标准所作的修改、在纺织科技书刊中贯彻该系列标准时存在的某些问题和中国纺织出版社对此采取的办法。
