印度国防研究与发展局(DRDO)于2012年6月22日开始对“阿琼”Mk2主战坦克进行为期2个月的研制试验,主要测试该坦克的19项参数。如果试验成功,DRDO将批准阿瓦迪重型车辆厂生产124辆“阿琼”Mk2主战坦克。目前,已有124辆“阿琼”Mk1主战坦克装备印度陆军。
On June 22, 2012, the Defense Research and Development Agency (DRDO) of India conducted a 2-month research and development test on the “Arjun” Mk2 main battle tank, which mainly tested 19 parameters of the tank. If the test is successful, DRDO will approve the Awadi Heavy Vehicle Plant to produce 124 “Arjun” Mk2 main battle tanks. Currently, 124 “Arjun” Mk1 main battle tanks have been equipped with the Indian Army.
