一、日本海上保安厅的国际活动日本海上保安厅近年来积极参与各种国际活动,本节简要介绍与之关系较大的国际组织和主要活动内容。1、国际海事组织(IMO)该组织建立于1958年,其活动目标是促进海上安全和海洋环境保护。至1986年4月,参加的国家有130个(我国香港为联系会员)。在近30年的时间中,已经通过28项国际公约。日本参加 IMO 的各种会议,一般都派出有相当规模的代表团,海上保安厅成员则是其代表团
I. International Activities of Japan Coast Guard The Japan Coast Guard has taken an active part in various international activities in recent years. This section briefly introduces the major international organizations and their major activities. 1, International Maritime Organization (IMO) The organization was established in 1958, its activities aimed at promoting maritime safety and marine environmental protection. As of April 1986, there are 130 participating countries (Hong Kong, China as a connected member). Nearly 30 years have passed 28 international conventions. Japan participates in various IMO conventions, sending quite a large number of delegations in general and members of the Coast Guard are their delegations
