潘家峪是河北省丰润县(今河北省唐山市丰润区)腰带山中的一个山村,是冀东抗日根据地之一。正因为这样,潘家峪也就成了日军“扫荡”的重点地区。从1938年夏季到1940年底,敌人围攻潘家峪就有130多次。1941年1月25日晚(旧历腊月28日),驻唐山、丰润、滦县等16个据点的3000多名日军、1000多名伪军,在日指挥官佐佐木的率领下,从四面八方悄悄地开到潘家峪。他们进村 Panjiayu is a mountain village in Fengrun County, Hebei Province (now Fengrun District, Tangshan City, Hebei Province), one of the Jidong Anti-Japanese Base Areas.
