通过1983年3月至6月,分别在重庆市巴县白市驿,合川县沙溪乡进行的水稻二化螟(Chilo suppressalis Walker)交配习性和田间应用性诱剂治螟的试验,初步明确了其越冬代雌雄性比为1:0.85;蛾期10—15天。80%以上的雌蛾仅交配1次;有70%的雄蛾交配3—4次,而少数可多达6次,平均3.8次;雌蛾羽化后3小时便开始分泌性外激素,在24至36小时达释放高峰,一般在晚上11—12点,为交配高峰;在整个越冬代发蛾期,性诱效果可达75%,而交配率仅下降2.4—10%,枯鞘率仪下降3.3%,防治对象田未明显减少。
