在Internet环境下,应用层组播系统的效率受到用户能力异构性的影响,但是在组播结构建立时,结点的能力难以准确得知;因此,提出一个可以在组播结构建立后优化组播树的应用层组播协议SmartTree。在SmartTree中,用户先加入一个覆盖网络,然后组成组播树。在系统运行中,组播树结构依据结点的能力动态优化。高带宽用户的能力越来越多的得到利用,减小了组播源结点和用户结点之间的平均跳数和延时。模拟实验结果显示,第一次优化可以使用户结点的平均跳数减小28.2%。
In the Internet environment, the efficiency of application-layer multicast system is affected by the heterogeneity of user capabilities. However, when the multicast structure is established, the node’s capability is hard to know accurately. Therefore, a new architecture that optimizes the multicast structure Multicast Tree Application Layer Multicast Protocol SmartTree. In SmartTree, users first join an overlay network and form a multicast tree. In the system operation, the multicast tree structure is dynamically optimized according to the capabilities of the nodes. The ability of high-bandwidth users is more and more utilized, reducing the average number of hops and delays between multicast source nodes and user nodes. Simulation results show that the first optimization can reduce the average hops of user nodes by 28.2%.
