福建省是一个多山省份,也是我国南方的重要林区,福建的山地森林具有以下特点,①林业用地面积大,全省近1亿亩,占总林业用地77％。②具有防护和生产的双重功能,并在全省占重要位置,③福建的山地森林是山区经济发展的依托,是山区经济的重要来源。经营管理好山地森林是福建省林业宏观管理的关键,经营管理好山地森林:(一)强化森林资源管理,(二)控制资源消耗,(三)促进森林资源增长,(四)正确处理好经济效益和生态效益,山地森林经营与山区经济发展之间的关系是关健。
