方差分析是数理统计的重要方法之一,在林业的资源调查中已广泛应用。但方差分析由于要计算一系列的平方和,计算量大,特别是没有现代化计算设备——电子计算机的地方,给工作带来不便,并非一般生产单位所能接受。而林业生产单位对本场或本地区天然林、人工林的资源及苗圃超级苗木选择的调查等均需要进行抽样调查,经过方差分析,以规划设计和挑选。但一般生产单位技术力量不足,计算工具有限,而利用极差就是其中一种比较有效的方法,计算简单,效率与通常的方差分析相近,对实际工作者有用。
Variance analysis is one of the important methods of mathematical statistics. It has been widely used in forestry resources investigation. However, ANOVA is not easy for general production units due to the calculation of a series of squares and the large amount of calculation, especially where there is no modern computing device - electronic computer. The forestry production units of the field or the region natural forests, plantation resources and nursery selection of super seedlings are required to conduct a sample survey, analysis of variance, planning and design and selection. However, the general production units lack of technical strength and limited calculation tools, and the utilization of the poor is one of the more effective methods. The calculation is simple and the efficiency is similar to the usual analysis of variance, which is useful to practical workers.
