侧柏是常绿乔木,寿命长,干形雄伟,是营造风景林,防风固沙林的主要树种。侧柏耐干旱瘠薄和盐碱。是我省石质山区和豫东沙区重要的常绿造林树种,也是绿化祖国的珍贵树种之一。由于我省多数年份发生春旱,在黄河故道地区尤为突出,从而影响了侧柏的适时播种或推迟发芽期。春播育苗根系嫩,夏季杂草旺盛,苗木生长发育期短,苗木质量不高,往往当年不能造林。实践证明:侧柏秋季播
