A database of hydroponic human-made soil resources based on Windows platform was established by using Microsoft Access 97. The methods used in this study and the established hydroponics artificial soil database can be used as a basic taxonomic unit of soil taxonomy in China and as part of the establishment and application of soil classification information system .
