党的十四届六中全会通过的《决议》,充分体现了社会主义民主法制建设与社会主义精神文明建设互相依存、互相促进的紧密关系。认真学习《决议》这一精神,对于我们加快民主法制建设的步伐,推进和保障精神文明建设,使民主法制建设更好地为两个文明建设服务,有着非常重要的意义。 社会主义民主法制建设是社会主义精神文明建设的重要组成部分。它是社会主义精神文明建设和整个社会主义现代化建设顺利进行的基本条件和重要保证。没有健全的社会主义民主和法制,就没有成功的社会主义精神文明建设。运用法制促进社会主义精神文明建设的实质是发挥社会主义的政治优势。主要应做好以下几个方面的工作:

The construction of socialist democracy and legal system is an important part of the construction of socialist spiritual civilization. It is the basic condition and an important guarantee for the smooth progress of socialist spiritual civilization and the entire construction of socialist modernization. Without sound socialist democracy and legal system, there will be no successful construction of socialist spiritual civilization.
