在银盐胶片介质时代有“大画幅就是硬道理”的定论。大画幅相机乃至120中画幅相机在成像素质方面的优越性是135相机无法比拟和逾越的。曾几何时网络上针对数码单反相机盛传一句“全幅才是硬道理”,想必也是拜“大画幅就是硬道理”这个定论所赐。从理论上讲,全画幅图像传感器与APS规格、4/3规格等传感器相比,物理感应区域广阔、像素面积大、像素还原体的个体数量多,因此更容易提高图像解析率,降低信噪比,从而提升画面的整体品质。全画幅数码单反相机所带来的视觉真实感和镜头焦距无需换算“不打折”的特征着实让人欢喜,但全画幅产品不菲的身价也确实是妨碍其普及的一道大门槛。相对于尼康对DX幅面的执着与奥林巴斯一心一意走4/3路线以及市面上的大多数APS幅面的相机,全画幅产品到现在为止还仍是“少数派”,目前也只有佳能的大兔子1DsMarkII和5D两款产品,不过请不要怀疑全画幅的优势和价值,至少在现在,全画幅仍然是数码单反相机的发展方向。
