夏季一向是美国五个电影档期中的黄金季。5月中旬及8月底的票房收入占全年的40%左右。近一年来,美国经济因次贷危机而开始衰退。几乎各行各业都不景气,唯独娱乐业的支柱——电影取得了骄人的成绩。
Summer has always been the golden season in the five U.S. movie schedules. The box office receipts in mid-May and the end of August accounted for about 40% of the year. In the past year, the U.S. economy started to decline due to the sub-prime crisis. Almost all walks of life are depressed, only the pillars of the entertainment industry - the movie has achieved remarkable success.
