A strategic defense system that first detects enemy enemy missiles before they can be shot down. From launching a position to a target or eventually destroying may be tracking thousands of missiles, tens of thousands warheads and millions of false targets. The current infrared scanning sensor is not entirely suitable for this task. So the Strategic Defense Program Office (SDIO) has focused its research on new technologies, such as gazing at inlaid sensors, in order to accomplish this task.
