都山林场位于秦皇岛市青龙县西北,都山南坡。东经118°33′—118°59′,北纬40°27′—40°33′。是柞木(蒙栎)(Quercus mongoliea Fisch)集中分布区。萌生起源的柞木林,在不同海拔,坡向都有生长。但主要分布在海拔700—1000米的阴坡、半阴坡;海拔1000米以上土层较薄的阴坡上部;以及海拔1000—1500米的阳坡。在海拔700—1000米的阳坡,除裸岩外,也有分布。 按都山南坡柞木林的分布和生长情况,可划分五个林分类型:(一)阴坡中层土柞
