宁夏回族自治区成立于1958年10月25日,是全国唯一的回族自治区,简称宁。全区有回、满、东乡等35个少数民族,面积6.64万平方公里,总人口604万,其中,回族占总人口的三分之一。境内平均海拔为1090-2000米,最高峰为海拔3556米的贺兰山,是银川平原的天然屏障,黄河从中北部穿越宁夏,境内流程397公里。宁夏是个有着古老历史的地方,也是一个有着神秘而美丽的风光和传说的地方。浓郁的回乡风情,秀丽的塞上江南,雄浑的大漠风光,古老的黄河文明,神秘的西夏文化,构成的宁夏多资多彩的旅游文化资源。在这里,我们将用两期的版面,隆重推介宁夏丰厚的文化产业和资源,以飨读者。
Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region was established in October 25, 1958, is the only Hui Autonomous Region, referred to as Ning.
