台词是戏剧表演的重要组成部分,是表达戏剧思想情感的直接方式。它最直观地展现人物性格、剧情焦点,并推动情节的进一步发展。高甲戏的台词具有戏剧典型的音律美,其音乐唱腔以南曲为主,兼用“傀儡调”和民间小调。在高甲戏台词的英语翻译过程中,既要在最大程度上保留原有的音律美,展现闽南唱腔的特色,又要兼顾中西文化差异和英语表达方式。在翻译高甲戏中具有浓郁闽南文化底蕴的台词时,较适宜使用相应的功能对等翻译方式,力求寻找中西文化的异曲同工之处,最大程度上引起双方的共鸣。
