明代通俗小说的序跋中保存了大量的小说出版史料,是研究明代出版史的重要资料来源。小说序跋对明代小说出版史的重要作用主要表现在:(一)明代通俗小说序跋中保留了大量关于书坊主出版活动的原始记载;(二)明代通俗小说序跋中记载了小说的翻刻等比较重要的出版问题;(三)明代通俗小说的有些序跋生动描述了明代通俗小说的出版环境。
In the prefaces and postscripts of popular novels in the Ming Dynasty, a large number of historical materials for the publication of novels have been preserved, which is an important source for the study of the publication history of the Ming Dynasty. The important role played by prefaces and postscripts on the publication history of novels in the Ming Dynasty is mainly manifested in the following aspects: (1) A large amount of original records about the publishing activities of bookmasters are kept in the prefaces and poststers of the popular novels in the Ming Dynasty; (2) the prefaces and postscripts of the popular novels in the Ming Dynasty are more important (3) Some prefaces and postscripts of popular novels in Ming Dynasty vividly described the publishing environment of popular novels in Ming Dynasty.
