To the east of the Himalayas and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, southern China and south-east Asia, south of the Huaihe River in the Qinling Mountains, are closely linked. The roof of the towering world and a series of mountainous rivers running north-south on the southeast side separate Southeast Asia and southern China from the rest of the old continent to form a relatively independent natural geographic unit. The region, an important area for studying the origins of early humans and their cultures, has been closely watched by archaeologists. In the 1940s, Professor Mokisi of Harvard University put forward the hypothesis of two cultural circles, dividing East Asia and Southeast Asia into cutting device culture circles, corresponding to the hand ax culture circle in the west of the old continent. ~ ([1]) though
