前言大地震前后,在地表可观测到各种物理和化学现象,地震学家想捕捉这些现象,了解通常看不到的地下状态,碰巧识别临震信号,发出地震预报。日本列岛的地壳活动十分活跃。在日本各地每天发生几十次微小地震。并且,就连日本人居住的脚下大地,也时刻在变形,基岩中正积累着应变能量。基岩中的应变,导致岩石突然产生破裂,其振动传到地表,人们感觉到地震。可以认为在发生大规模的破坏之前,有前兆异常现象,若综合判断出现的这些前兆现象,就能预报地震。
Foreword Before and after the Great Earthquake, a variety of physical and chemical phenomena were observed on the surface. Seismologists wanted to capture these phenomena, to understand the underground state that they could not normally see, and to happen by identifying earthquake signals and making earthquake forecasts. The crust activity in the Japanese archipelago is very active. Dozens of small earthquakes happen daily in various parts of Japan. And, even at the foot of the land where the Japanese live, they are constantly deformed and the bedrock is accumulating strain energy. Strain in the bedrock causes a sudden rupture of the rock, the vibration of which reaches the surface and people feel the earthquake. It can be assumed that there are precursory anomalies before large-scale destruction occurs, and earthquakes can be predicted if these precursor phenomena are synthetically judged.
