In July 1965, Li Tsung-jen, former Kuomintang government acting president, brought his wife Guo Dejie back home. Eight months later, Guo Dejie died of a breast cancer attack. July 26, 1966, under the personal care of Premier Zhou, 76-year-old Li Zongren married 27-year-old Hu Yousong. Hu You song accompanied Li Zongren spent the last days of his later years.
