For over one hundred years since the publication of “Ma’s Literary Communication,” Chinese language studies have been striving to explore the basic structure unit of Chinese and the starting point of grammatical analysis, that is, the problem of Chinese “standard ”. Different scholars put forward different views on this issue. Among them, Ma Jianzhong’s “Ci (part of speech) standard ”; Li Jinxi “sentence standard ”; Zhu Dexi “ ”; Xu Tongqiang “ word standard ”; Xing Fuyi’s “ small sentence center ”and so on. These standpoints of view are heatedly debated on the basis of different research perspectives.
