红溪是今日印度尼西亚首都雅加达附近的一条溪水,当地人称为红溪(Angkee)。在二百二十年前(1740年),沿溪一带地方,曾是华侨沐血反抗荷兰殖民者屠杀暴行的地方。大批华侨在这里被荷兰殖民主义者疯狂屠杀,鲜血流入溪中使溪水为之变红。这次事件是殖民主义血腥历史上无数重大罪行中的一件,也是中国人民和印度尼西亚人民反抗殖民主义史上的一件大事。本文拟对这次事件发生的由来及其经过作一概括的叙述。
Hong Creek is today a stream near Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, known locally as Angkee. Two hundred and twenty years ago (1740), along the river area, it was the place where the blood of overseas Chinese mutilated to avert the atrocities against the Dutch colonialists. A large number of overseas Chinese were massacred by Dutch colonialists here crazy. The blood flowed into the river and made the stream red. This incident is one of the countless major crimes in the bloody history of colonialism and a major event in the history of the Chinese people and the Indonesian people against colonialism. This article intends to give a general account of the origin and the process of this incident.
