马克思主义新闻学基本观点的重要体现是群众观点。如何对待群众,这是一个根本的立场、世界观和党性问题。社会主义新闻理论的群众性原则是与马克思主义的群众观点和群众路线相一致的,长期在新闻工作中得到应用和体现。所以,在媒体迅速发展的今天,再一次强调增强新闻报道的群众性十分必要,实践证明,新闻报道的群众性是衡量新闻价值的重要依据,也是办好报纸的重要标准。
