飞行时间(TOF)计数器,它是北京谱仪的重要组成部分。主要用于测量带电粒子的飞行时间,从而鉴别不同种类的粒子,同时参加触发判选,排除宇宙线本底。TOF计数器桶部由48块NE110塑料闪烁体组成,每块尺寸为280×15×5cm。两端各由24块闪烁体组成端盖。桶部是两端输出,共用96个XP2020光电倍增管,端盖是单端输出,共用48个XP2020光电倍增管。TOF计数器共有144路信号,分成六个组,按照一定程序,分别由TOF计数器电子学系统进行检测和模数转换,最后进入计算机进行数据处理,获得物理实验结果。
Time of flight (TOF) counter, which is an important part of Beijing spectrometer. Mainly used to measure the flight time of charged particles, which can identify different types of particles, and participate in the trigger judgment, excluding cosmic rays background. The TOF counter barrel consists of 48 NE110 plastic scintillators, each measuring 280 x 15 x 5 cm. Each end consists of 24 scintillator body cover. Bucket is the output of both ends, a total of 96 XP2020 photomultiplier tube, the end cover is a single-ended output, share 48 XP2020 photomultiplier tube. TOF counter a total of 144 signals, divided into six groups, according to a certain program, respectively, by the TOF counter electronics system for detection and analog-digital conversion, and finally into the computer for data processing, to obtain the physical experiment results.
