Verrucous carcinoma is also known as Ackerman’s tumor or Verrucous Pavilloma. First named by Ackerman in 1948. Verrucous carcinoma is a special type of squamous cell carcinoma. Unlike normal squamous cell carcinoma, which has a verrucous appearance that occurs in the elderly with slow growth and local invasion, histologically manifested as a highly differentiated tumor .
