1975年观察了夏玉米“京黄113”的某些生物学性状,该品种全生育期90日,叶数总计16片。在形态表现上,穗位叶及其上、下两叶是全株的最长、最大叶,叶鞘长以雌穗下、中部节位较长,节间长以雄穗节间最长,共出生8层根,以第7层根数较多,气生根只1层,总根数在65条左右。籽粒充实过程不同于春玉米,自始至终都在充实、增长中。提出以根、茎叶及穗、粒三个部分为对象,把叶片分为三组,各有主攻。相应探讨了以展开叶片数为栽培技术措施的外部形态指标的适用性。
