台湾地区去年12月份废纸进口量值均较上月明显萎缩,并创二十年的最低进口量,其平均进口报价大幅走低。2008年全年废纸进口总量仅有78万吨,较前年衰减两成。但进口总值却微幅上扬,足见去年废纸进口平均报价巨幅攀升,致纸业原料成本垫高。
In December last year, Taiwan’s import volume of waste paper shrank conspicuously from the previous month and hit its lowest level for two decades. Its average import quotation dropped sharply. In 2008, the total volume of waste paper imports was only 780,000 tons, down 20% from the previous year. However, the slight increase in the total value of imports shows that the average price of imported waste paper soared sharply last year, resulting in a rise in the cost of raw materials for the paper industry.
