20世纪90年代以来,以国际互联网席卷全球为标志,计算机网络开辟了全新的信息传播方式,在人们的生产、生活中越来越成为一种必不可少的工具、载体和平台,极大地改变着人们的生活方式和思想意识,给党的意识形态建设带来了深刻影响和较大挑战。要应对这些冲击和挑战,我们就应该努力掌握和应用信息网络技术,不断进行内容创新、观念创新、形式创新、技术创新和体制创新,趋利避害,开创党的意识形态工作的新局面。
