Import and Export Analysis of Construction Machinery Industry in 2005 1.1 Strong Export Import and Reduced Importation for the First Time in 2005 The total import and export volume of the construction machinery industry in 2005 (according to China Machinery Industry Federation) was 5.661 billion U.S. dollars, up from the same period of previous year 14.8%, accounting for 2.54% of the total import and export of machinery industry of 228.267 billion U.S. dollars. Among them, the export was 2.87 billion U.S. dollars, up by 62%; the import was 2.784 billion U.S. dollars, down by 11.7%
