中华民国的建立,使民国职业外交家群体的服务对象发生重大变化,他他们们不不再为封建帝王尽忠效力,而以维护国家统一和民族利益为其奋斗目标。他们面对外敌入侵、军阀混战的内外交困局面,提出了不少富于创见而又适合中国国情的外交思想、战略和主张,一再表明他们具有强烈的爱国意识和值得称道的外交艺术,他们为争取中国独立自主的地位,收回晚清丧失的国家权利作了多方面的努力,改变了“弱国无外交”的旧规,谱写了民国外交史上有声有色的新篇章。
The establishment of the Republic of China has brought major changes to the service targets of the professional diplomats in the Republic of China. They are no longer serving the feudal emperors themselves, but are striving for the goal of safeguarding national unification and national interests. In the face of invasion by foreign enemies and torture both inside and outside the country, they have put forward many diplomatic ideas, strategies and propositions that are both creative and suitable to China’s national conditions and have repeatedly shown that they have strong patriotism and commendable diplomatic art. They are fighting for China has made various efforts in recovering its lost state rights in the late Qing Dynasty, changing the old rules of “weak countries without diplomacy” and composing a new chapter in the diplomatic history of the Republic of China.
