生肖文化是中国民族文化的一种古老形态,在经历了数千年的历史文化洗礼与积淀后,已经渗透到了中国的器具、剪纸、绘画、文学、宗教、信仰等领域。对生肖文化进行研究,有利于我们对民族传统文化的继承。此次“木刻十二生肖”研究与创作是中央高校基本科研业务费智库建设项目(2015ZK06)研究成果,也是对我“民间美术与设计”课程教学成果的展示。我认为,我国非物质文化遗产最好的传承方式是通过高校教育。在此次研究中,我邀请了云南丽江纳西族民间艺术家阿东 Chinese zodiac culture is an ancient form of Chinese national culture.
