第42届国际统计学会已在马尼拉召开。会上选举了法国的马林沃特(Malinvaut)为会议主席。会议期间共举行了25次全体会议和57次小组讨论会。到会者集中讨论了下列问题:改进统计调查中的方式、方法;在社会和经济决策中统计资料的应用;独特的试验方法的发展(如对统计学的评价,模拟法,无参数测量,间接计算法等等)以及它们在新的科学领域里的应用;为了发展国际统计科学进行改组学会活动的计划;计算机更广泛的应用以及扩大利用苏联和其它经互会成员国所积累的经验。
The 42nd International Statistical Institute has been held in Manila. At the meeting, France’s Malinvaut was elected as the chairman of the meeting. During the meeting, 25 plenary meetings and 57 panel discussions were held. The attendees focused on the following issues: ways and means of improving statistical surveys; the application of statistical information in social and economic decision-making; and the development of unique experimental methods (such as statistical evaluation, simulation, parametric measurement, Indirect methods, etc.) as well as their application in new scientific fields; programs for the development of international statistical sciences for the reorganization of learning activities; the wider application of computers and the expanded use of the accumulated experience of the Soviet Union and other members of the ILC.
