中国近代历史上的最初的两次国人自办报高潮出现在维新运动时期和辛亥革命前夕。而湖北国人自办报刊的第一次勃兴却出现在辛亥革命前夕,而非维新运动时期,同时这次报刊热潮直接或间接的影响到起义的第一枪在湖北武昌打响,意义重大。本文拟就这一时期湖北报刊的发展作一略述,以期探讨湖北近报刊第一次热潮的特点及其历史原因。
The climax of the first two self-run newspapers by Chinese in modern history of China appeared on the eve of the Reform Movement and the Revolution of 1911. However, the first boom of Hubei people’s running of newspapers and periodicals appeared on the eve of the Revolution of 1911 instead of the Reform Movement. At the same time, the first shot that directly or indirectly affected the uprising started in Wuchang, Hubei Province, which is of great significance. This article intends to give a brief account of the development of Hubei newspapers and periodicals in this period, with a view to exploring the characteristics of the first upsurge in Hubei newspapers and periodicals and their historical reasons.
