醚是药物生产中一类较为重要的中间体,通常用Williamson法合成。近年来,用季铵盐作为相转移催化剂合成醚类化合物的方法已有报道。与Williamson法相比,相转移反应的优点在于醇和酚可在碱性条件下直接与卤代烷反应制得醚,而不需事先将它们转化成相应的钠盐。
Ethers are a class of more important intermediates in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals and are usually synthesized using the Williamson method. In recent years, the use of quaternary ammonium salts as phase transfer catalysts for the synthesis of ether compounds has been reported. The advantage of the phase transfer reaction compared to the Williamson method is that alcohols and phenols can react directly with alkyl halides to give ethers under basic conditions without prior conversion to the corresponding sodium salts.
