俗话说,吃在广州。粤菜在民国初年达到一个鼎盛期。当时最负盛名的有两个代表性的家族,一个是谭家菜,一个是太史菜。这两个家族都诞生于广东南海。谭家菜北迁之后,已经融合各菜系而成为顶级官府菜,只有太史菜恪守粤菜特点并发扬光大,成为羊城食坛第一家。太史菜由南海绅士江太史公创出,他是民国初年羊城食坛的首席美食家。
